With several years of experience in the apparel industry, Bryan Siew has worked in various projects, from prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear), editorial, bridal to uniform making, and his portfolio of work has kept growing and expanding over the years.

Before Bryan became a self-employed fashion and creative designer, he was an employee of one of the biggest high-street fashion retail labels, and one high-fashion couture house here in Malaysia. While the two working experiences are within the fashion and apparel industry, they are very much different in terms of business model, creative direction, and overall operating flows. The diversity in working environments allows Bryan to develop a sharp sense of style specification, attention and classification.
Upon becoming a freelance fashion & creative designer, Bryan has taken on various projects and challenges over the years. His accumulated work experiences include:
  • Prêt-à-porter Collection Development & Consultation
  • Uniform Design & Development: Corporate wear, Event-wear, Team Uniform, Spa Uniform
  • Fabric Custom Motif / Pattern Design & Development
  • Custom / Made-to-Measure Gowns: Bridal Gowns, Evening-Wear
  • [Other] Corporate Marketing Materials: premium gifts, packaging, flyers, slides, etc
  • [Other] Restaurant / Café Menus Design
  • [Other] Photos Retouch / Editing

Backgrounds

Bryan Siew graduated from IFTC (International Fashion Training Centre, Malaysia) in 2012, with a diploma in Fashion Design. Bryan is also awarded with a Top Ten Best Student Performance Award from the faculty, and has participated in a number of fashion showcases and editorial collaborations.

Prior to that, (as a side note) Bryan is also a first-class degree holder in Computer Science, and was working as a software engineer in a UK-based company before venturing into apparel industry. The life-changing decision was made mainly because of the strong passion for fashion, and the confidence to turn interest into career. Even though Bryan is no longer involve in IT projects, the skills and knowledge definitely helps in the current projects execution and operation. Additionally, being exposed to the corporate world beforehand enabled Bryan to deal with corporate or non-corporate projects in a more professional and systematic manner.
